Ingredients – Smash Burger Tacos

  • ½ lb 85/15 ground beef (yields 3 x 2.5 oz servings)
  • 2–4 slices American cheese (Sprouts Organic or preferred)
  • Butter lettuce leaves
  • Low-carb tortillas (e.g., Mission Zero Street Size)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Cooking oil (for smashing burgers)

Ingredients – Burger Sauce

  • ¼ cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp pickle juice
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Make Sauce: Mix all burger sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Form Beef Balls: Divide beef into 2.5 oz portions and shape into balls.
  3. Smash & Cook: Heat skillet with oil. Smash beef balls on hot skillet and season. Cook until crisped, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  4. Crisp Tortilla + Cheese: Place tortilla in skillet, top with cheese and seared patty, flip to crisp the other side.
  5. Assemble: Add burger patty to lettuce, drizzle sauce, and top with optional extras (pickles, onions, jalapeños).
